About me

I'm Jules Woolley, a painter and decorator based in Otley, West Yorkshire, and I run J W Paints and Maintenance. I cover Otley, Ilkley and the Wharfedale valley, taking on everything from a single room to full interior and exterior projects.

My approach is simple: I turn up when I say I will, prepare surfaces properly, use good materials, and leave your place clean and tidy at the end of every day. That care is why 100% of customers who have left a review on Facebook are happy to recommend me.

I've been decorating for 16 years, the last 8 running J W Paints and Maintenance as my own business. I started out doing shopfitting work before going self-employed, and these days exterior work is my speciality, though I take on plenty inside too. Every job starts with a free, no-obligation estimate, so you know the price before I pick up a brush.

One thing that makes me a bit different: I'd rather you bought your own paint and kept the saving, so there's no markup from me. I'll tell you exactly what to get, and everything else I need I usually provide myself.
